Enid Shrine Club

Hello Nobles,well another year has come and gone.  Now it is time to look at and plan the New Year, we have a lot of Great things to achieve.

For those of you that might not know, here's a list of the officers for 2012; 1st Vice Pres. Noble Jack Kehnemund, 2nd Vice Pres. Noble Robert Price, Sec. Noble Terry McGinnis, Tres. Noble Larry Lewis, Chaplin Noble Jack "Shorty" Randall, Outer Guard Noble Boone Davidson, Liaison Noble Mike "Gimpy" Cowsar.  I want to say Thank You to each of them for sharing their time.

I challenge all members of The Enid Shrine Club that have not been to a meeting in a while to come and renew old friendships, make new ones and enjoy the fellowship that is here and that you've missed out on for a while.  We have a lot of activities and events scheduled to share.  So come on down the Welcome Mat is always out.

My Itinerary for the Year will be posted on the Enid Shrine Club Web site "enidshrineclub.org" for quick access.  This will be the short version.  If you wish for the long version let me know and I'll get one to you.

I have a lot of ideas for this year which include (1) a lot of improvements to our Shrine Bldg. (2) Building a stronger relationship with our Temple and (3) trying to generate enough interest in the membership so members will want to participate.  Remember the ultimate goal is helping the kids.  So don't be surprised if you get a postcard inviting you to an Enid Shrine Club function, activity or event.

Looking forward to February.  A committee will work on plans to further the improvements on Our Shrine Bldg.  If you have any questions or comments, Please feel free to let them know.  Plans will be submitted at the Feb. meeting for club approval.  Would like to start the work in March.

Contact has been made with C.W. Scooters about the "Kruz'n the Plains" Poker Run and they have agreed to continue with their support as they have in the past.  We are waiting on them to name the band so we can get our Flyers and Posters printed.  Hopefully we will know something in the next week or so.

Noble Larry Lewis received a call from a representative of the Home Show inviting the Enid Shrine Club to participate again this year.  Seems they were very impressed with our presentation last year.  Shrine members give yourselves a pat on the back, you deserve it for the great work you do.  The dates of the Home Show this year are April 27th thru April 29th at the Expo Center.

I want to Thank You for the Honor of serving you as the President of the Enid Shrine Club this year.  I know that together with the help of all of you, we will have an enjoyable year and accomplish a lot.  So in closing I want to say God Bless to You and your families.

Well Folks the month of January is gone and February is on its way so remember your sweetie on Valentines day.
January was a little slow for the Klown Unit, but were gearing up for the Circus so dust off them fezes and come join us at the Circus March 1st - 4th.

December 8th - Shrine Club Childrens Party - Klowns were Fuzzee, Geezer, Shorty, Deputy Dog, Hoogie.
December 10th - Garber Parade - Klowns were, Hoogie, Fuzzee and Shorty.
December 18th - Ponca City Kids Party - Klowns were Fuzzee, Hoogie, Trouble, and Gadget.
January 14th Grace Place Birthday Party - Klowns were, Fuzzee, Shorty, and gadget.
